For more information on CSLA, please visit our website: About the position CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanent full time Master to join our cement carrier Goliath.

This operation is based in the Bass Strait. As the most senior officer onboard, the Master is responsible for managing the vessel and the activities of all those on board in a safe, environmentally secure and efficient manner. In addition, the Master will be responsible for:

  • The implementation of the SQS on board;
  • Safe and efficient operation of the ship under their command, and for the safety of its cargo and all persons on board;
  • Appropriate measures to prevent pollution of the environment;
  • Ensuring all laws are observed, including the completion and maintenance of related documents and the filing of reports;
  • Being the designated Ship Security Officer (SSO) by the company.

About You

  • AMSA Master COC/COR Unlimited (required)

o Education Requirement: As per AMSA Marine Order 71 (mandatory) o Technical Requirement: minimum 5 years sea time as a Chief Officer (mandatory) o STCW regulation II/2

  • MSIC Card (required)
  • ECDIS and GMDSS (required)
  • Certificate of Safety Training (required)
  • Australian Citizen or hold a valid working visa without working restrictions
  • Living in an Australian state (required)
  • Pilotage Exemption Certificate for Port of Melbourne or Port of Davenport (desirable)
