Get Skilled Access and the Kempsey Shire Council are searching for the following person:
A person who has disability or lived connection to disability,
Who has a great connection with the Macleay Valley community.
Who is passionate and motivated to build the confidence of community sport clubs and schools to include people with disability in all aspects of sport (playing and non-playing).
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply.

About Sport4All
The Sport4All (S4A) Program has been commissioned and funded by the Federal Government to build inclusion capability in community and school sport.
The Sport4All (S4A) Program employs local Inclusion Coaches in communities to help sporting clubs and schools be more accessible and inclusive for people with disability.
S4A mission is to give sporting communities the knowledge and passion to include all people with disability in sport. Our vision is that inclusive sporting communities are accessible to every person with disability, and that they feel like they belong.
The Inclusion Coach is employed by Get Skilled Access in partnership with Kempsey Shire Council

About the Inclusion Coach
The 'Inclusion Coach' must be a person with disability and/or lived connection to disability who has been involved in sport as a player, volunteer, or administrator. The Inclusion Coach will work within Kempsey Shire Council to connect local sporting clubs and schools with the Sport4All website and resources and help them to complete the Sport4All training program.
The Inclusion coach will use their real-life disability experiences and the experiences of their network to build relationships with the clubs and schools, which will help them to understand the purpose of Sport4All and the benefits and opportunities the program can bring.
The Inclusion Coach will be trained in the Sport4All program at the beginning of the role, with further training and development offered.
The Inclusion Coach will be managed by the Get Skilled Access Sport4All NSW/ACT State Manager, supported by Kempsey Shire Council team.
Key responsibilities and activities of this role:
Develop a connection with First Nations organisations and the sporting community within your region.
Connect and work with the Get Skilled Access Sport4All Team
You will understand the S4A program goals and work towards achieving these through working with local sporting clubs and schools.
You will work to engage clubs and schools with the Sport4All program's training and resources.
You will create a plan for contacting and keeping connections with sporting clubs and schools for reporting purposes.
You will be supported by the State Manager and use your lived experience of disability to provide the placement partner employees with an opportunity to grow and learn about the difference between disability, accessibility, and inclusion and its relation to sport.
You will contribute to S4A program meetings to make sure the goals are being met and measured.
You will understand the S4A program goals and work towards achieving these through working with local council, sporting clubs and schools.
You will create positive and successful relationships with sporting clubs and schools to bring them into the program.
You will support sporting clubs and schools to work through the Sport4All program.
You will help sporting clubs and schools to connect with other relevant organisations to achieve their inclusion goals.
You will check in, assess, and support Sports clubs, Schools, and organisations to create more inclusive sporting opportunities for people with disability.
You will support Schools and clubs to deliver inclusive sports activities such as sessions and workshops.
You will promote the Sport4All program and educate community groups about how participating in sports can help people with disability.
You will share with all people from all groups within the community the opportunities for people with disability to participate in all sporting activities, including First Nations people, to participate in all sporting activities.
You will explore the sporting needs of people with disability within your local community.
You will keep records and data up to date on which clubs, schools and organisations connect and complete the Sport4All Program, as well as keeping record of the people with disability participating in sport within the local community.
Your role will work on empowering sporting communities within your community to better include people with disability, including First Nations people, in sport.
Essential Skills, knowledge and qualities:
· Ability to create strong relationships with the people and groups interested or connected to the Sport4All Program.
· Ability to use a range of communication types, including face-to-face, email, and phone, to connect with many different people and groups within the community.
· Communication skills in writing, public speaking and helping people or groups to better understand inclusion in sport with different activities.
· Passionate and motivated, with the ability to work independently and to be resourceful while working without always being told what to do.
· Ability to connect with grass roots sporting clubs.
· Ability to connect with teachers, school leadership and other school staff.
· Ability to plan your trips and travel around the local community, including to different schools and sporting clubs, centers, grounds or programs etc.
· Will be organised and able to manage administration tasks, and have technology skills including setting meetings, emails, phone calls, recording data etc.
· Understanding and ability to use computer programs to collect and keep data on Sport4All connections and inclusive sports opportunities within the community.
· Able to manage your time, to rank tasks in order of importance and complete all other responsibilities while also continuing to keep communication connections with schools, sports clubs, organisations, and any people or groups who have an interest or connection to Sport4All.

Other Relevant Requirements
· This role may require travel within the Kempsey Shire.
· Due to the nature of the role and the sport industry, this role may require some work outside ordinary work hours, including evenings and weekends, to attend meetings and events.

· Right to work in Australia (e.g. Australian citizen, or permanent residency status, or a visa permitting you to work in Australia).
o You are required to notify Get Skilled Access if your right to work in Australia ceases during the term of your employment.
· Current Working with Children Check (employee)
· Holds or ability to hold, and maintain a satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check prior to appointment (must be provided by candidate prior to commencing in role)
