About The Team
The Women's is a tertiary referral center for women with complex needs. The outpatient service accommodates a number of specialist clinics such as gynaecology, abortion and contraception, urogynaecology, menopause, vulva/dermatology, menopause symptoms after cancer clinics, breast, oncology, early pregnancy advisory service, chronic pelvic pain clinic and colposcopy.

The facility also includes the Ambulatory Gynaecology Service which provides minor gynaecology procedures under local anaesthetic, as well as other procedural clinics such as, urodynamic investigation, insertion of contraceptive intrauterine devices and outpatient cystoscopies.

About The Role
A regular day will see you:

  • Provide individual consultations on a wide range of sexual and reproductive health issues incorporating a broader primary care and social model of health focus.
  • Provide examination and diagnostic assessment for individuals with a cervix.
  • Perform cervical screening, STI testing and management, including prescriptions for treatment or immunisations as required.
  • Provide advice on abortion and contraception, IUDs and etonogestrel implants.

About You
As an Nurse Practitioner in the sexual and reproductive service you will be recognised as a highly skilled and valuable member of the multidisciplinary team with advanced knowledge and skills. You will promote nursing and explore the boundaries of nursing practice through the use of evidence based and best practice literature.

You'll Bring With You

  • Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) including endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Current Accredited Nurse Cervical Screening Provider and Victorian Preceptor
  • Evidence of advanced nursing knowledge and clinical skills in sexual and reproductive health nursing.
  • Ability to work independently as well as consulting and collaborating with others to deliver outcomes.
