Your Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Works Leading Hand to join our team in Collinsville. In this vital role, you will supervise a small team, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards while maintaining safety and efficiency. You will primarily be responsible for operating and leading the grader crew, particularly while working on-site and at camp.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise a small team of workers to ensure high-quality and efficient work.
- Capture accurate site records to meet the satisfaction of the Works Coordinator.
- Implement traffic management requirements as per guidelines.
- Ensure all on-site works and activities fully comply with state rules and regulations.
- Address customer service requests, complaints, general inquiries, and transactions in an effective and timely manner.
- Operate plant and equipment as required, reporting any defects.
- Undertake "on call" duties on a rotational basis and respond to emergency callouts.
- Be available for camping when required, based on job needs.
- Report any matters that could impact the business, Council, or employees to the relevant Supervisor or Manager.
- Relieve at other locations throughout the region when required.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned, consistent with skills and training.

Your skills and experience
Essential
- General Construction Safety Induction (White Card)
- MR/HR Class Drivers Licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Traffic Management Implementation (or willingness to obtain)
- Traffic Controller ticket (or willingness to obtain)
- Operate and Maintain Chainsaws (or willingness to obtain)
- Agriculture Chemical Distribution and Control ACDC (or willingness to obtain)
- Occupation Health and Safety Certificate of competency in LR, LL, LB, LG & LF
Desirable
- Certificate IV in Civil Construction
