The Opportunity

Join Workskills as an Employment Sustainability Coach and use your relationship-management, advocacy, and administrative skills to support sustainable employment outcomes that improve lives and strengthen our community. In this role, you will:

  • Partner with employers from the start of a new placement, designing tailored support plans that set participants up for success.
  • Monitor progress closely, using tracking tools to identify and address barriers, clarify income reporting, and provide the extra support needed to make employment sustainable.
  • Champion Workskills' values, building strong connections with employers and community partners to create opportunities and open doors for participants.
  • Drive outcomes and celebrate success, preparing and managing claims with precision to ensure every achievement is recognised and every success story is shared.
  • Communicate with influence, applying persuasive communication and sales/marketing insight to elevate service delivery and enhance the customer experience.
  • Champion compliance, ensuring adherence to legislation and guidelines while making complex requirements simple and accessible for others.
  • Contribute with reliability and positivity, strengthening collaboration and fostering a harmonious, high-performing team environment.

About You

To excel in this role, you will need:

Essential Requirements

  • Proven ability to build meaningful relationships with individuals and businesses.
  • Exceptional administration skills, with experience managing multiple systems to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
  • Proven relationship management experience, with a track record of achieving measurable results.
  • A genuine passion for empowering individuals to change their lives through employment.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • Current Tasmanian Driver's Licence.
  • Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Tasmanian WWVP registration (or willingness to obtain).

Desirable but not Essential

  • Experience in reverse marketing participants directly to employers, highlighting participants strengths and abilities to keep them in secure meaningful employment.
  • Certificate IV in Employment Services.
  • Experience in the employment services or broader community services sector.
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing or a related field.
