About the Role

We're seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our Steel Division workshop.

Reporting directly to the Manager – Steel Division, you will coordinate daily and weekly manufacturing operations, ensuring production runs smoothly, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage people, processes, and performance — driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate daily and weekly production schedules and resource allocation.
  • Lead and motivate a team of skilled fabrication personnel to achieve production targets.
  • Enforce strong WHS culture and compliance with ECLIPS safety systems and PPE standards.
  • Maintain quality assurance processes (including ITPs) to meet engineering and client specifications.
  • Manage material flow, workshop layout, and inventory to ensure efficient production flow.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections, and quality checks to maintain operational excellence.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process and productivity improvements.

About You

You're a proactive and experienced leader with a strong background in steel fabrication and workshop management. You know how to bring out the best in people while maintaining safety, quality, and production discipline.

To be successful, you'll have:

  • Formal trade or engineering qualification in fabrication or manufacturing.
  • 5+ years' experience in a supervisory role within a steel or heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound understanding of production planning, OH&S, and quality management systems.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Competence with MS Office / SharePoint (desirable).
  • Australian work rights are required for this position.
