In this role, you'll:
Lead the team that generates critical insightful capital project and program analytics and reporting across the Transport capital portfolio for internal audiences, in particular the Investment and Assurance Committee (IAC). Synthesise complex data from multiple sources into actionable intelligence that drives better decisions, identifies emerging risks, and ensure appropriate measures can be implemented in a timely manner to achieve optimal portfolio customer outcomes.
Lead and motivate a team of four (4) direct reports (capital reporting managers and analysts) to develop and deliver the sole source of truth for portfolio performance metrics while building the systematic processes and dashboards that support strategic portfolio management. with consistent processes, rigorous content, and timely control mechanisms are in place.
Conduct bespoke analysis to uncover emerging risks, issues, and opportunities at the portfolio level, collaborating with external reporting and other teams to develop mitigation strategies. Design and continuously improve systematic reporting tools and dashboards tailored for IAC, senior leadership, and other internal stakeholders.
Deliver high-quality, data-driven presentations and reports that clearly communicate portfolio performance and insights to internal audiences.

About you
You are strategic, collaborative and solutions-focused with proven experience leading management reporting for the capital projects program or portfolio of a large and complex organisation.
You will have strong analytical expertise to synthesise data from multiple sources into meaningful and actionable insights; and be well versed in presenting capital project and program performance to senior leadership and other internal audiences.
Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience
A background in infrastructure, construction or large-scale project environments; knowledge of government financial reporting frameworks and governance processes; and advanced data analytics and visualisation capabilities will be highly valued.
