To support our commitment to providing a safe and compliant working environment for our team, we are now taking applications for a Safey Advisor to join our Operations team on a permanent, full-time basis, commencing as soon as possible.

Reporting to the General Manager – Operations, the Safety Advisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the organisation's Workplace Health and Safety function, ensuring it meets Work Health and Safety (WHS) compliance requirements while supporting the broader strategic objectives of the business. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, the Safety Advisor cultivates a proactive and positive safety culture. This is achieved through effective communication, education, training, and a continuous improvement approach to safety systems and practices.

Are you capable of:

  • Maintaining Safety Management Systems to comply with WHS legislation requirements;
  • Providing expert advice and support on WHS-related matters;
  • Monitoring and interpreting WHS legislation and regulatory changes;
  • Collaborating with different stakeholders to embed safety into operational practices and decision-making processes;
  • Coordinating and delivering safety education, training, and awareness initiatives;
  • Leading incident investigations and implementing appropriate corrective actions, including close out;
  • Developing and reporting on safety performance metrics and contribute to board and executive-level reporting; and
  • Actively promoting a strong safety culture through engagement, leadership and visibility?

Do you have demonstrated experience in:

  • Applying WHS practices and legislation in a small to medium size business; and
  • Conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations?

Do you have a formal qualification in Work Health and Safety?
