Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia Civil Services Group Pty Ltd Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

We are looking at an opportunity in the Scenic Rim Region for a Safety Advisor with Road Infrastructure experience interested in joining us and capable of committing to the following assignment for a period of approximately a year with a possibility of extensions and other projects.

Being that the role is not 'Full Time Hours', (approximately 28hrs a week on average) it would most likely suit an existing  Safety Consultant that has up to 50% capacity to add some secure government income to their business.

Responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the preparation & implementation of health and safety plans
  • Complete risk assessments, audits, task observations and safety investigations
  • Complete and maintain any documentation required on the project as per requirements & ensure relevant legislation is adhered to.
  • Manage and develop relationships with employees and stakeholders

Essential Skills required undertaking this role:

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years' Safety Advising experience on road infrastructure projects working either directly or indirectly with the Department of Transport & Main Roads policy, process or procedure or alternatively .
  • Strong understanding of OH&S legislation
  • Time management and task prioritisation capabilities, with an ability to meet deadlines and manage pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • It would be anticipated that the person will have some Formal Qualifications to support their experience.

The role is Scenic Rim based and preference would be given to someone who is local to the project within an hours drive of Beaudesert.

You must have: the right to work in Australia, with well-developed interpersonal and consultative skills and a current drivers licence.
