Work Health & Safety (WHS) Professional – Road Transport Industry

Wacol, QLD (moving soon to a brand-new depot in Carole Park)

We are a leading road transport company seeking a hands-on and motivated WHS Professional to join our team. With our upcoming move to a state-of-the-art facility, this role will be central in managing workplace safety while also overseeing key aspects of facility management.

About the Role:

  • Lead and coordinate WHS initiatives across the business (drivers, workshop, wash bay, admin and management)
  • Manage and support ISO 45001 audits
  • Develop, review and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Issue and manage safety alerts, toolbox talks and training programs
  • Conduct risk assessments, site inspections and incident investigations
  • Implement WHS systems in the new depot to ensure compliance from day one
  • Oversee aspects of facility management maintaining a safe, compliant and functional work environments
  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, NHVR and Chain of Responsibility requirements

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous WHS experience, ideally in transport, logistics, or heavy industry
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, ISO 45001 and safety system implementation
  • Background in facility management or willingness to take on site responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills with staff at all levels
  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher)
