Host / Floor Staff – Magic Mountain Saloon

Magic Mountain's a bit of a Melbourne mainstay — a big, multi-level Thai restaurant and bar with plenty of personality. Some nights are full tilt, others have a slower pace, but there's always a good energy and a team that knows how to make guests feel looked after.

We're looking for a Host / Floor Staff member to join the crew — someone confident, friendly, and organised, who enjoys the mix of busy services and quieter nights. You'll be the first point of contact for guests, managing bookings and walk-ins, keeping service flowing smoothly, and making sure every guest feels genuinely welcome.

Experience in fast-paced venues is important, but attitude is just as valuable — we want someone with a calm, thoughtful approach and a real interest in hospitality done well. We're big believers in treating our guests like guests — not just tables to turn — and we look for people who share that mindset.

What we're looking for
  • Previous experience in a busy restaurant or bar
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Confident managing reservations and guest flow
  • Calm under pressure, adaptable when things change
  • A team player who brings good energy to service

This is a casual role with roughy 20-30 hours a week with room to grow as the venue heads into the busy season.
