About the Opportunity:
We're looking for an experienced and hands-on General Manager – Broadcast Operations to lead our technical and production delivery across and Thoroughbred Racing Productions (TRP).
You'll be responsible for the end-to-end broadcast operation – from racetrack to screen – overseeing outside broadcast logistics, studio facilities, playout, and transmission systems. This is a high-impact leadership role driving innovation, performance, and operational excellence across a fast-paced live media environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead TRP's broadcast operations, delivering over 650 live OBs annually across VIC and SA.
- Manage 's studios, signal routing, playout and transmission infrastructure.
- Oversee budgets, resources and workflows to ensure cost-effective, high-quality delivery.
- Drive innovation in broadcast technology, workflows, and multi-platform distribution.
- Build and lead a high-performing team spanning production, technical, and engineering disciplines.
- Champion safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across all operations.
- Foster strong relationships with commercial, wagering, and broadcast partners.
What you'll bring
- 10+ years' experience in broadcast operations or live production, ideally in sport or news.
- Proven success managing large teams in a live or high-pressure environment.
- Strong technical literacy across broadcast and production systems.
- Exceptional organisational, financial, and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative, forward-thinking approach and passion for live sport broadcasting.
- Familiarity with the racing and wagering ecosystem preferred, but not essential.
