About The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead and support multiple Branches within our VIC / TAS region. This is a hands-on leadership role, focused on driving growth, operational excellence and developing high performing teams across the network.

Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager, you will play a key role in executing the company's strategic direction, ensuring a strong focus on safety and embedding The Samios Difference culture throughout the region. You will work closely with Branch Mangers and Heads of Departments to deliver consistent performance, strong customer engagement and continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Growth & Profitability: Develop and execute strategies to increase active accounts, expand market share and drive sustainable branch profitability.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure each branch operates efficiently with clear structure, accountability and consistent service delivery.
  • Leadership & Development: Coach, mentor and empower Branch Managers to lead high-performing teams and foster a culture of continual improvement.
  • Customer Focus: Uphold our service standards and build strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and local communities.
  • Risk & Compliance: Maintain safety, financial and operational compliance across all branches.
  • Strategic Alignment: Lead regional initiatives that align with Samios' national growth strategy and long-term vision.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven success leading multi-site operations in plumbing, trade or wholesale distribution.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to mentor and motivate teams.
  • Strategic mindset with a commercial focus on growth and profitability.
  • Willingness to travel locally and interstate as required to support business operations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Solid understanding of branch operations, sales and customer engagement.
  • Commitment to safety, culture and continuous improvement.
  • A current Australian driver's licence.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Melbourne, VIC.
