The wealth management business consists of three distinct brands in addition to Perpetual Private – Fordham, Jacaranda financial planning and Priority Life – offering a unique mix of wealth management, advice and trustee services. With a diverse range of capabilities including strategic advice on superannuation and retirement planning, general investment, asset protection, insurance, tax management, estate planning, aged care, social security, succession planning and philanthropy. At Jacaranda Financial Planning, we are passionate about delivering exceptional financial services and fostering growth. We are on the lookout for an experienced Associate Partner to join our team. In this role, you'll support our team in generating new business referrals, providing top-tier client service, and managing end-to-end business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business and growth plans for the team.

  • Implement client retention and acquisition strategies.

  • Provide exceptional client service and support the Partner in delivering outstanding service to all clients.

  • Drive prospecting activities and convert leads into new business.

  • Identify cross-sell and referral opportunities within the broader Perpetual business.

  • Support the Partner in building a high-performing team through attraction, engagement, development, succession, and talent management.

  • Provide strategic insights into the team's operating rhythm, morale, and opportunities.

  • Supervise Associate Financial Advisers during their Professional Year.

  • Manage team/pod operations, including workflow and budgeting.

  • Ensure effective risk and compliance management through appropriate measures and controls.

  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and develop tools relevant to the client segment.

  • Build strong internal networks and cross-functional relationships with stakeholders.

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing within the assigned segment and the broader Perpetual network.

About you

  • FASEA relevant degree or working towards a FASEA approved pathway.

  • Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning/Financial Services or equivalent.

  • Completion of mandated CPD training and development each year.

  • CFP (desirable).

  • Over 10 years of experience in financial services.

  • Minimum of 4 years of financial planning-specific experience.

  • Experience in providing financial advice to high-net-worth clients, health and personal injury clients, medical professionals, CSI/NFP, business owners, and Native Title clients.

  • Proven experience in coaching and developing Financial Advisers and Associate Financial Advisers.

  • Experience in managing a team of wealth management professionals (desirable).

  • Strong business development skills and networks within the specialist segment.

  • Strategic financial planning and advisory skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services and financial planning market, especially within Perpetual's target segments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong prioritisation and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Effective people management skills.
