Nurse Next Door Ballarat is on the lookout for a highly passionate, dedicated and well-rounded Enrolled Nurse to join our team in the role of 'Care Ambassador'.
Operating in a homecare environment, you'll play an active role in the day-to-day delivery of care to our clients, ensuring they are safe and happy in their own homes. You'll liaise with potential clients, contribute to the creation of individualised care plans, and build professional relationships that support the business.

The Role
Nurse Next Door Ballarat is on the hunt for another superstar Care Ambassador (Registered or Enrolled Nurse) who will design, evaluate and oversee our clients care plans in working towards the common goal of making their lives better to ensure they are safe and happy in their own homes. In addition, this role comes with the opportunity to lead a team of caregivers and nurses, who are passionate about making a difference. Working full-time hours spanning over some weekends and being On-call as needed.
Your new role as Care Ambassador
Reporting to our Managing Director, you will be a member of our local leadership team, working alongside our Care Designer, Care Co-Ordinator, and Managing Director.
As Care Ambassador, your role will not be boring; it is both diverse and full of opportunities to learn and Making Lives Better. You will meet with clients in their home, facilitate Caring Consults, develop individualised care plans, introduce staff to clients, undertake Supervisory Visits and ensure the highest quality of service is being provided at all times.
- Meet with potential clients to consult on their options for premium home care services.
- Intake planning
- Conduct wound assessment reviews and care planning
- Approval of PRN medications
- Male and female catheter care
- Wound management
- Liaising with interested stakeholders to facilitate a holistic approach to homecare, including but not limited to; Local Area Coordinators, General Practitioners, OT's and family
- Clinical administration management inclusive of incident reporting, incident management and drafting of client care plans
- Staff training and development

Desirables, these are not required but an added bonus if you have the below;
- Previous community care experience in the field of NDIS and Aged Care
- Proven previous experience leading a clinical team
- You have a proven track record in meeting KPI's and promoting success of the team
- Flexibility to work weekends

Job Requirements
- AHPRA Registration as a Registered / Enrolled Endorsed Nurse
- Up-to-date skills in catheterisation, wound care management, diabetes management and manual handling practices (continence care desirable - RN scope)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a service-first mentality
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Technologically savvy with mobile apps, desktop applications and G-suite
- Requires some flexibility and availability to work occasional evenings and weekends on-call as required
- Current Drivers License (with no restrictions)
- National Police Check (Aged Care/ Vulnerable Persons Sector)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion
- Working with Children Check
