The team

People & Development (P&D) is responsible for delivering people initiatives that are aligned with business strategy across the full employee lifecycle.

The People & Pay Services team delivers initiatives, advice and services that support Senior Executives, Managers and team members during their careers with ASIC.

The role

As a People Advisor, you will:

  • Provide timely, accurate advice and guidance on people policies, procedures, and processes in line with ASIC frameworks and service levels.
  • Support the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, internal movements, and cessation, along with the preparation of supporting documentation.
  • Maintain and update employee and position records in the HR information system to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage leave and entitlement queries, system updates, and reporting in line with legislation and ASIC policies.
  • Contribute to team initiatives and collaborate with colleagues across People & Development to support key projects and service improvements.

About you

You are an early-career HR professional with 1-3 years of experience in a generalist or HR administration role, looking to grow your skills in a dynamic, people-focused environment. You have a relevant tertiary qualification in human resources, business, or a related discipline, and bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach to your work. With strong communication skills and sound judgement, you are confident responding to a range of HR queries, interpreting policies, and maintaining accurate records. You are comfortable using HR systems, proficient in Microsoft Excel, and enjoy working collaboratively to improve processes and deliver a great employee experience.
