About our school 

Star of the Sea Primary School opened in 2009 and is located in a unique setting beside Moreton Bay and overlooking Stradbroke Island. Our school has an approximate enrolment of over 150 students from Prep - Year 6. Star of the Sea School offers contemporary learning environments that support high quality learning that is flexible and student-centred. Summary

Bring your expertise in financial operations, process development, data analysis, and team leadership to an exciting role where you'll support school success

  • Location: Star of the Sea - Cleveland (P)
  • Start date: Commencing January, 2026
  • Work hours: 28 hours per week
  • Salary: School Officer Level super (School Salary Scale)
  • Status: Term Time | Fixed-term (Contract until the end of term 3)

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the development, maintenance and operations of relevant systems and resources and recommending improvements to processes and procedures
  • Developing and interpreting legislation, regulations, procedures and other guideline material relating to the financial operations of the school
  • Preparing and maintaining procurement activities, including overseeing budget administration, and activities
  • Reviewing, developing and implementing processes and systems that enable effective financial management consistent with the school's strategic and operational objectives
  • Supervising and training support staff as required.
About you

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

  • Proven ability to oversee and improve systems and resources
  • Strong understanding of financial legislation, regulations, and procedures
  • Experience in managing procurement and budget administration
  • Skills in developing and implementing effective financial management processes
  • Leadership ability to supervise and train support staff
  • Tertiary qualification at Diploma level in Finance or related field
  • For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
