SD DENTAL CLEVELAND is looking for a talented Dental Practice or General manager to join our team You will be joining a high-tech dental practice located in the heart of Redlands. Depending on your experience and skillset you could have the ability to earn above $100,000 + for the right candidate.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of dental practice management experience.

The Practice Manager is the operational, cultural, and strategic leader of SD Dental. This role requires exceptional organisation, strong leadership presence, and the ability to run a multi-site, multi-provider clinical environment with precision. You will lead a team of ~20 across reception, dental assistants, treatment coordinators, and clinical coordinators, and social media co-ordinators to create a calm, organised, and memorable patient journey.

Previous experience managing teams of 10-15 people is required for this position.

This role requires someone who can confidently lead Coordinators, manage multiple departments, maintain rigorous systems, and elevate both team performance and operational standards as the practice evolves and rebrands (approximately December for rebrand).

Core Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Operations Management

  • Oversee daily schedules, huddles, and preparation for complex cases.
  • Ensure cleanliness, ambience, and equipment readiness.
  • Monitor booking gaps, booking utilisation, and front office KPIs.
  • Oversee all team tasks and checklists.
  • Manage banking, payments, remittances, fraud checks, and financial accuracy.
  • Oversee and manage rostering, wages, and leave logs.
  • Maintain immaculate presentation and operational flow.

2. Leadership & People Management

  • Lead reception, DA, and coordinator teams.
  • Hold routine leadership meetings and structured team check-ins.
  • Manage performance, accountability, training progress, and SOP compliance.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and culture-building aligned with practice values.

3. Compliance & Governance

  • Maintain infection control, WHS, credentialing, radiation logs, and documentation standards.
  • Ensure clinical documentation and due treatment lists are actioned.
  • Conduct regular checklist audits, documentation audits, and compliance reviews.

4. Finance & Bookkeeping Oversight

  • Oversee and manage routine reconciliation of practice account administration (e.g. merchant fees, DVA/CDBS, QLD Health, PRODA.)
  • Manage EOM reconciliation with reporting systems, Accounting software processing, remittance uploads, and invoices.
  • Monitor and manage stock budgets, expenses, and cost optimisation opportunities.
  • Support financial reporting and KPI monitoring.
  • Liaise with accounting team to support practice financial workflow

5. Scheduling & Operational Flow

  • Support and oversee books management with clinical, front office and treatment coordinator teams.
  • Maintain provider schedules optimised for implants, cosmetic cases, and complex workflows.
  • Eliminate bottlenecks and ensure daily timelines run predictably.

6. Strategic & Systems Development

  • Review and update workflows, SOPs, checklists, and operational systems.
  • Support data collection and reporting to Directors
  • Lead change management for new software and process rollouts.
  • Develop coordinators using frameworks and goals.
  • Support project execution for improvements, future expansion and growth.

  • Financial literacy and understanding of KPIs & cost structures.
  • Compliance and risk awareness across dental standards.
  • Advanced organisational skills with a systems and accountability mindset.
  • Tech fluency (Praktika or dental PMS, Deputy, Adobe, Google Workspace - Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Independent Judgement & Professional Problem-Solving: Demonstrates strong independent decision-making, able to assess situations, weigh options, and take appropriate action
  • Systems Development & Operational Ownership: Skilled at identifying operational gaps and proactively developing clear, scalable systems, workflows, and SOPs, taking ownership of process improvement, ensuring new systems are implemented effectively and maintained to a high standard.
  • Relentless in the pursuit of solutions, refusing to accept setbacks and consistently uncovering every conceivable avenue to accomplish tasks.
