An Australian owned and operated Franchise and Corporate Store Network who has built a solid reputation in the retail sector for over 50 years. Today we boast 80+ stores, consisting of a combination traditional convenience and convenience petroleum throughout QLD, NSW & WA.

The Area Manager position plays key role within our operations team, overseeing a portfolio of 12–15 franchisee and corporate-owned stores. You'll be responsible for driving store performance across sales, stock, and standards, while supporting and coaching teams to deliver consistent results. We are open to applicants based in any area of Brisbane or the Gold Coast, as store clusters can be adjusted to align with the successful candidate's home location and the broader Area Manager team structure (currently a group of six). Some travel will be required to maintain strong engagement across the store network.

You will be responsible for:

  • Identify trends to improve operational performance through sales, stock and standards.
  • Monitor stock integrity, ordering and auditing.
  • Execute training programs for new and existing stores.
  • Driving compliance and consistency across the network.
  • Influence results through interpreting data.
  • Support stores to drive and increase efficiency and profitability.
  • Elevate the NightOwl brand by maintaining/improving our customer experience and merchandising standards.
  • Champion category growth initiatives.
  • Implementing strategies to achieve KPI's.
  • Coach, develop and inspire our team to propel our workplace culture and operations.

The ideal candidate:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail management (petrol & convenience experience highly regarded).
  • Strong background in multi-site management experience (highly regarded).
  • Willing to be hands on at a store level.
  • Ability to coach and mentor to develop high performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail with merchandising standards.
