About the role

Join our friendly, professional team at Child and Adolescent Development Service (CAADS) as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist. This full- or part-time role is based in North Lakes, Queensland, where you will play a vital part in providing high-quality therapy services to children and adolescents.

What you'll be doing

  • Assessing needs and developing individualised treatment plans for children and adolescents with a range of developmental, physical, social and emotional challenges
  • Delivering evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to support clients in achieving their functional goals
  • Evaluating functioning and providing advice and recommendations to other stakeholders (e.g. day-care, school, NDIA)
  • Collaborating closely with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach to client care
  • Maintaining detailed clinical records and contributing to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of services

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working as a paediatric occupational therapist, preferably in a community-based or private practice setting
  • Excellent clinical assessment and intervention skills, with a strong understanding of child development and therapeutic approaches
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families and other stakeholders
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills to manage a diverse caseload and respond to the unique needs of each client
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice
