The Role

As a Field Technician at Drill Intelligence, you'll be hands-on in the field, working closely with drilling contractors and geology teams to ensure seamless operations. You'll play a key role in deploying, maintaining and optimising our advanced steering tools while driving continuous improvement in drilling performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee onsite operations for Aziwell directional drilling tools
  • Work closely with drilling contractors to ensure successful directional drilling programs
  • Set up, deploy and maintain steerable coring and directional motors
  • Identify and implement drilling optimisation initiatives
  • Manage onsite equipment and supplies to maintain uninterrupted service
  • Act as the primary client contact, fostering strong relationships
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety policies and promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • FIFO roster: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off - Temporary roster changes might be required following operational requirements

What we're looking for

  • Strong technical skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in field environments
  • Familiarity with drilling software (e.g. Compass) is desirable
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team
