About the role

We are looking for an experienced Automation Field Service Technician to join our team at MAF OCEANIA PTY LTD'. This full-time role will be based in Western Victoria and will play a crucial part in providing expert technical support and maintenance for our clients' automated systems.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections of automated systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with automated equipment
  • Repair and replace malfunctioning components
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers
  • Document and maintain detailed records of all service activities
  • Collaborate with the broader technical team to share knowledge and best practices

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience as an Automation Technician or Field Service Technician, ideally within the Trades & Services industry
  • Demonstrated experience working with industrial automation systems
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and other technical documentation
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required
  • A relevant technical qualification or certification
  • Hold a degree level technical qualification
  • Must be an Australian permanent resident
