
Food Safety and Compliance Specialist

What You'll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Ensure adherence to HACCP and Food Safety Plans, conduct inspections, and maintain records to meet legislative and company standards.
- Provide food safety training for new and existing staff, including inductions, toolbox sessions, and ongoing professional development.
- Perform internal audits, support external audits, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in food safety and service quality.
- Promote a strong safety culture, enforce compliance with health and safety policies, and report incidents or hazards proactively.Work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to maintain high standards in food safety and patient care.
- Relevant certifications in food safety and HACCP, with prior experience in a healthcare or HACCP-accredited kitchen environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, compliance procedures, and the ability to conduct internal audits and inspections.
- Ability to train, mentor, and guide staff in food safety practices, ensuring compliance and fostering a strong safety culture.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.Capability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.
