Job Description
- Lead carbon program delivery and integrity assurance, supporting procurement, certifications, and regulatory engagement.
- Collaborate across teams and represent Qantas in industry forums to drive sustainability strategy and reporting.

We're seeking a passionate and skilled
Senior Analyst – Operations & Integrity, Carbon Markets
to join our Group Sustainability team. In this role, you'll help manage the Qantas Group's carbon market customer programs, support carbon credit procurement, and deliver key initiatives that align with our climate strategy such as the Group's Integrity Framework.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver and report on the Voluntary Carbon Program, maintaining dashboards and compliance processes.
- Support the Group's carbon market certifications and liaise with government bodies and regulators.
- Manage and continuously improve the Group's Integrity Framework to ensure carbon credit procurement is aligned to our internal standards.
- Support technical assessments and due diligence of carbon projects, including site visits and supplier engagement.
- Conduct market research and policy analysis to inform strategy and risk management.
- Facilitate carbon market governance forums and contribute to internal and external reporting.
- Collaborate across Finance, Treasury, Legal, and Insights teams to strengthen our carbon portfolio.
- Represent Qantas in industry forums and working groups, driving thought leadership in sustainability.
What You'll Bring
- 2 – 4+ years of experience in project management, analysis ideally with a carbon market or climate strategy focus within a corporate, NGO, or government setting.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Law, Engineering, Environmental Science, or Sustainability.
- Strong project management and reporting skills with a high attention to detail
- Analytical skills with experience in reporting and performance tracking.
- Good understanding of carbon market standards, methodologies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Exposure to managing or sourcing carbon credit projects (ideal).
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Commercial acumen and experience reviewing and following contracts.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and passion for sustainability.
