As a Professor in Urban Ecology and Biodiversity, you'll lead pioneering research at the intersection of cities and nature, fostering collaborations with government, industry, and community stakeholders. You'll have access to robust research infrastructure and the opportunity to shape both academic and policy landscapes, contributing to the vision of SAFES to create flourishing environments and communities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Lead Research Initiatives: Develop and manage research programs, securing funding and fostering collaborations.
Advance Education and Learning: Design and deliver innovative teaching programs, contributing to curriculum development.
Provide Strategic Leadership: Engage in strategic planning and administration to support SAFES and University operations.
Mentor and Develop Staff: Supervise and guide staff and students, ensuring professional growth and development.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a distinguished researcher with a strong track record in urban ecology and biodiversity, ready to lead transformative research and education efforts while collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
You may also:
Have a PhD in urban ecology and biodiversity or a closely related discipline.
Possess a recently awarded ARC Laureate Fellowship in biodiversity.
Demonstrate leadership in research and strategic planning.
Exhibit excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse audiences.
Have experience in mentoring and developing academic staff and students.
