Your next career opportunity

As a Research Fellow in the Zero Net Emissions for Agriculture CRC, you'll play a crucial role in assessing greenhouse gas emissions reduction options for Australian farms. You'll utilise your expertise in agricultural science or farm economics to conduct whole farm systems and economic modelling. This position offers you the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team across diverse production systems, contributing to Australia's sustainable agricultural future.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct Advanced Research: Assess greenhouse gas emissions reduction options using farm systems and economic modelling approaches across various Australian agricultural production systems.

  • Contribute to Academic Output: Publish high-impact research papers and present findings at conferences and seminars.

  • Collaborate and Engage: Work within a multidisciplinary team and engage with industry stakeholders to foster partnerships.

  • Support Student Development: Contribute to the supervision and training of research students at undergraduate and potentially graduate levels.

You may be a great fit if:

You are a dedicated researcher with a PhD (or near completion) in agriculture, agricultural science, or farm economics, possessing extensive knowledge of agricultural production systems and a strong aptitude for conducting impactful research.

You may also:

  • Possess strong experience in farm economics, business management analysis, and agricultural systems analysis.

  • Demonstrate a sound publication record and ability to prepare research reports.

  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.

  • Show a strong ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary research environment.

  • Exhibit excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
