Key Responsibilities
Shall include, but not be limited to:

  • Lead, guide, develop and mentor Procurement Operations team members.
  • Review, develop and drive best practice procurement procedures and strategies.
  • Identify, promote and drive cost saving reductions
  • Ensure the processing of purchase requisitions and the delivery of goods received is performed in accordance with purchasing procedures and Councils Procurement Policy.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Strong experience in purchasing goods and services in a multi-disciplined organisation.
  • Ability to lead, delegate and supervise a team.
  • Extensive previous use of Corporate Purchasing Software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and effective working relationships, teamed with the ability to communicate appropriately both verbally and in writing.
