The Opportunity
Randstad Melbourne are partnered with a very busy contractor with a minimum of 10 months worth of work locked in and further at contract negotiation stages.

They've built a reputation for construction excellence by continuously delivering on Victoria's most significant Infrastructure projects for the largest Principal Contractor clients.

This role will suit a Project Engineer coming from the head contractor / sub contractor that has key experience delivering concrete structures packages up to $15 million+.

Your Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be given the responsibility to run packages on your own while supporting on larger jobs. You will oversee the following core duties:

  • Manage and coordinate project activities from the initial stages through to completion.
  • Monitor progress of works and diligently track costs.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for design change review with clients representatives
  • High focus on safety compliance, documentation and execution.
  • Manage project documentation, including progress reports and cost tracking.
  • Proactively identify risk and solve challenges that arise on-site.

  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer, preferably within the civil or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of concrete structures, retaining walls or piling construction.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach.
  • A firm commitment to safety and quality execution.
