  • Enable informed decision-making across the business by delivering clear, actionable advice and supporting successful outcomes for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Act as a strategic bridge between legal counsel and operational teams, combining analytical precision with practical contract management expertise.
  • Provide post-award support including evaluating payment claims, overseeing procurement deliverables, and attending project meetings.
  • Ensure all tenders and agreements comply with Delegation of Authority (DOA), insurance, and governance frameworks.
  • Monitor legislative, insurance, and industry practice changes to recommend procedural updates.
  • Draft and negotiate contract terms aligned with internal risk appetite, market standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with bid leads, procurement, and commercial leadership on tender clarifications and commercial submissions.

  • Proven experience in the mining and engineering sectors, with a strong background in contract review, negotiation, and administration within Australian engineering or construction environments.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, risk allocation, and pre-contract processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex terms and communicate clear, pragmatic advice.
  • High standard of written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of strategic procurement and contract management frameworks.
