About the Job

Our in-house animation and eLearning team is dedicated to crafting innovative and engaging training and exapliner solutions.  We're looking for a talented Junior Animator, with expertise in After Effects and Adobe Creative Suite, to join our team. You'll handle multiple projects, bringing versatility in scriptwriting, storyboarding, animation, and post-production. This role is ideal for a highly creative individual with strong technical skills who can manage concurrent projects while producing visually engaging content. You'll collaborate closely with our creative team to understand project needs, develop compelling concepts, and deliver high-quality animated videos. Our studio, located just up from Howard Smith Wharves, is a beautifully converted loft, an inspiring creative space complete with a full kitchen and videography studio.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Animate
  : Develop scripts, storyboards, and animations (including motion graphics & infographics) tailored to diverse clients.
• Collaboration
  : Work with our creative team to understand project requirements, develop concepts, and provide direction and guidance on each project.
• Project Management
  : Utilise project management tools to manage creative production effectively.
• Detail-Oriented Execution
  : Deliver consistent, high-quality work, ensuring precision and meeting project deadlines.
• Creative Vision
  : Maintain a strong, innovative creative vision that aligns with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
• Feedback Adaptation
  : Incorporate feedback effectively, offering creative solutions to design challenges.

Core Responsibilities

• Conceptual & Preproduction Art
  : Create preproduction artwork, including storyboarding, to bring concepts to life visually.
• Visual Assets for eLearning
  : Design and implement assets for eLearning modules, SCORM, and multimedia projects.
• Supportive Design Tasks
  : Execute additional tasks like retouching, color correction, and refining animations.
• Team Collaboration
  : Communicate effectively with the creative team, ensuring alignment with client needs and maintaining a smooth workflow.

Required Skills and Experience

• Creative Software Proficiency
  : Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and Figma
• Video & Animation Expertise
  : Strong grasp of video formats, codecs, resolutions, and motion graphics.
• Instructional Design Knowledge
  : Basic understanding of SCORM, HTML, and CSS is a plus.
• Attention to Detail
  : Excellent eye for visual elements, layout, typography, and color.
• Communication & Team Skills
  : Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Project Management
  : Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with efficient time management under pressure.
• Problem-Solving Aptitude
  : Eagerness to learn new software and adapt quickly to evolving project requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience
  : 2+ years in a creative role is preferred.
• Technical Skills
  : Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
• Instructional Design Skills:
  Experience in Articulate 360 Storyline
• Creativity & Innovation
  : A passion for pushing creative boundaries with visually engaging content.
• Portfolio
  : A robust portfolio showcasing a range of storyboarding, animation, motion graphics, and visual storytelling.
