About the Role

Digital Six Brisbane is looking for an experienced UI & UX Web Designer with strong motion design skills to help us create standout digital experiences for our clients.

You'll design beautiful, intuitive websites that engage users and elevate brands - combining smart UX thinking with refined visual design and purposeful motion. From concept to launch, you'll collaborate with our developers, project delivery team, and stakeholders to craft user-centred solutions that look and feel exceptional.

Please note: This role is based in Brisbane. Applicants must currently live in Brisbane or be able to work on-site with our local team.


What You'll Do

User Experience Design

  • Lead UX design for client websites - from discovery and wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Conduct research, define user flows, and ensure designs meet both user and business goals.
  • Optimise information architecture and usability across responsive breakpoints.

Interface & Visual Design

  • Create visually engaging, accessible, and on-brand website designs.
  • Develop and maintain style guides and component libraries for consistency.
  • Ensure designs are optimised for performance and aligned with development needs.

Motion Design

  • Design and prototype animations, transitions, and motion elements that enhance storytelling and usability.
  • Work with developers to bring motion designs to life - maintaining performance and brand integrity.
  • Establish motion principles that add polish and personality to our digital work.

Collaboration & Growth

  • Work closely with the Head of Project Delivery, developers, and marketing teams to deliver exceptional results.
  • Present design concepts and rationale confidently to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Stay across design trends, tools, and technologies to help evolve our creative process.

About You

Experience

  • 4+ years of professional experience in web design, UX/UI, or digital design.

    Strong portfolio showcasing responsive website design, UX thinking, and motion design.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Figma (or similar design/prototyping tools).
  • Strong motion and animation skills using tools like After Effects, Principle, ProtoPie, or Framer.
  • Solid understanding of responsive web design, accessibility, and web standards.

Core Competencies

  • Excellent eye for layout, typography, and interaction design.
  • Strong understanding of user-centred design principles.
  • Confident communicator who enjoys collaborating with both creative and technical teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working within a digital agency environment.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS or collaboration with front-end developers.
  • Knowledge of eCommerce or marketing-led digital design.
