Farmwest is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Livestock Services Technician. This is a hands-on role working directly with dairy and beef producers, providing a range of on-farm herd improvement services.

About the Role

The position involves delivering livestock services in a timely and professional manner, with a strong focus on customer service. Key duties include:

  • Performing calf dehorning and freeze branding
  • Delivering liquid nitrogen and other herd services
  • Safe handling and delivery of equipment and merchandise to customers
  • Assisting with artificial insemination (where trained/required)
  • Assisting with Bull collections and semen testing
  • Promoting and supporting Farmwest products and services with farmers

This role requires working independently while maintaining excellent relationships with farmers across the South West region.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in livestock handling (dairy and/or beef)
  • Well organised with good time management skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on farm work
  • Committed to high levels of customer service and professionalism

Essential requirements:

  • Current WA Driver's Licence
  • National Police Clearance
  • Prior livestock handling experience

Desirable (not essential):

  • Artificial insemination experience
  • Senior First Aid certificate
  • Bull Collection experience
