Swan Active Midland is on the lookout for an outstanding Gym Team Leader to join our fabulous team on a permanent part-time basis of 60 hours per fortnight. As the Gym Team Leader, you will lead a dynamic team focused on providing a top-tier fitness experience for all ages and abilities. We're searching for someone who is an expert in their field, always up-to-date on the latest health and fitness trends, and passionate about community health and wellbeing.

In this role, you'll play a crucial part in driving membership growth and retention, building and leading a team that's dedicated to increasing member satisfaction. We're looking for a positive, energetic, and innovative leader who is committed to continuous improvement and people-focused. Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to;

• Create a welcoming environment that is inclusive and meets all fitness levels and abilities.
• Foster effective and genuine relationships with the gym team and customers by helping people to connect with one another.
• Encourage and motivate customers to achieve positive health and well-being goals by designing and delivering innovative and tailored exercise programs while ensuring the safety of members.
• Deliver and supervise all activities associated within the gym, observing safe working practices, ensuring the health and safety and wellbeing of all users.
• Create the tone and personality of the customer experience team by being an advocate of training, customer service, product knowledge and education.
• Responsible for the supervision of the gym team, administration, presentation, cleanliness and maintenance of the gym and equipment.
• Ensure all health and fitness employees are well trained in providing services that are safe and professionally delivered in accordance with Swan Active and City of Swan requirements.

About you

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Relevant Tertiary Qualifications, CERT III in Fitness or equivalent Licenses, certificates or degrees
• Previous experience in conducting fitness assessments and the prescription of personal training programs
• Experience in instruction of group fitness classes
• Experience in the maintenance of exercise equipment
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate
• A satisfactory National Police Certificate is required.
• Ability to work early mornings, late evenings and weekends

About working with us

The salary for this position will be from $68,485.62 to $74,307.64 per annum pro rata, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
