The successful candidate will be a key member of our finance team, responsible for bookkeeping and finance for our Australian business. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing and past due reporting
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
  • Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time
  • Prepare BAS/PAYG/IAS
  • Assist with reporting and other compliance obligations
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Manage company insurances and renewals
  • Process expense claims
  • Assist management with analysis and reporting as required

Experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years proven experience with Xero accounting software is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate to advanced)
  • Strong understanding and working of accounting knowledge of STP, Awards, BAS/AIS, PAYG/GST, Super and Payroll Tax and the Australian compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping/Accounting preferred
  • Excel formula aptitude is essential
  • Excellent time management skills
