Position Overview

We're looking for a passionate Chef to join our brand-new, purpose-built Tallawong service, catering for 78 children across three beautiful learning rooms. In this role, you'll design and prepare nutritious, child-friendly meals that meet dietary requirements and inspire healthy eating habits.

This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in a centre still in its early days supporting children's wellbeing through food while being a valued part of a collaborative, passionate team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 120 children daily.
• Cater to a variety of dietary needs, allergies, and cultural preferences.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation.
• Collaborate with educators to promote healthy eating and nutrition education.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Order, manage, and rotate stock efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience as a Chef/Cook, ideally in childcare, school, or similar environment.
• Certificate in Food Handling/Safety (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of nutrition for children.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Positive, team-focused attitude and commitment to children's wellbeing.
