At Raising Stars Early Learning Centres, we ensure that all of our care centres operate at the highest standard of child care across all areas, with a full service approach that includes a comprehensive educational curriculum, a safe, familiar and friendly environment, and the best centre and facilities in the industry.

Our brand new purpose built Gregory Hills Two centre is a 197 place centre, which is anticipated to open in early 2026.

Our purpose built Gregory Hills One centre has been rated all seven areas of exceeding in the 2023 Assessment & Rating.

Our Five Dock centre is proudly rated as exceeding in the 2021 Assessment & Rating.

Vacant position

  • We are looking for passionate and motivated Centre Chef / Cook and Kitchen Assistant to come and join our brand new Gregory Hills Two centre to provide healthy and nutritious meals to the children in our care.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children, adhering to dietary guidelines and any specific dietary requirements or allergies.
  • Ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to in the kitchen, including food preparation and servicing areas.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, ensuring that general day to day procedures are followed.
  • Manage inventory, order food supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
  • Collaborate with the centre director and staff to develop menus that meet the nutritional needs of children.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and Raising Stars Early Learning Centre's policies.

What you will bring:

  • Experience as a cook, preferably in a childcare or school setting.
  • Knowledge of child nutrition and dietary needs.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Valid Working with Children Check (can be easily done online).
  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate.

Pay: $25.00 – $38.00 per hour
