About the role

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic senior clinician to join our Wantirna site. West Ward is a great innovative ward with a dedicated team working closely with GEM and NDIS patients to provide the care they need while supporting their journey back into the community.

As part of the multidisciplinary team you will work closely with clients and their families. You will also work as part of the larger Eastern Health speech pathology team and be supported with regular support, opportunities for professional development and undertake student supervision, guided by our learning and teaching program.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Eligibility for practicing membership with Speech Pathology Australia

  • Relevant experience in assessment, treatment and management of communication and swallowing disorders in subacute caseloads.

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team

  • An established track record of highly developed interpersonal skills

  • A strong commitment to high quality care in line with Eastern Health values

  • Current driver's license and access to vehicle

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
