About the Role

We are seeking an Operations Manager to join Summit Modular on a maternity leave cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a role where you can guide and support a talented team, help streamline operations, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality modular building projects.

In this role, you will work closely with schedulers, estimators, drafters, and contract administrators, as well as internal teams and external stakeholders, to ensure projects run smoothly from contract preparation through to handover. You will review designs and specifications, manage contracts, and support compliance, while identifying opportunities to improve workflows and operational processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Guiding, mentoring, and supporting a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and growth.
  • Coordinating contract preparation, reviews, and management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with design and construction teams to ensure new modular home designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with operational capabilities.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve internal workflows.
  • Supporting internal reporting and ensuring projects meet timelines, quality standards, and client expectations.

About You

We are looking for someone organised, proactive, and motivated to step into a coordinating and supportive role within a high-performing team. You may have experience in operations management, project coordination, or residential construction, or bring strong transferable skills from another area. We welcome candidates who are ready to take on responsibility, contribute ideas, and help the team succeed.

Key attributes include:

  • Experience or interest in residential construction, modular building, or project coordination.
  • Ability to guide and support a team, encouraging collaboration and performance.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with project management software, ERP/CRM tools, or similar systems, or a willingness to learn.
  • Motivation to develop your skills and contribute to team and process improvement.

The role will be based at our Canning Vale office, with the construction yard on our doorstep giving you the opportunity to develop your Modular construction knowledge by watching our construction team in action.
