Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Casual Support Workers to join our growing team. This role involves providing in-home and community-based support to people living with disability in accordance with their individual support plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including assistance with hygiene, showering, dressing, grooming, mobility, and mealtime support.
  • Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and shopping.
  • Support clients to maintain social and community connections.
  • Provide safe transport to appointments, community activities, and social events.
  • Promote independence and support clients to work towards their personal goals.
  • Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and respect at all times.
  • Accurately report on changes in client needs, health, or wellbeing.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Current National Police Check (within 6 months or willingness to obtain).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
  • Access to a reliable, roadworthy vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.
  • Ability to perform manual handling, lifting, and bending.
  • Availability for flexible casual shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting people with disability.
  • Understanding of the NDIS and person-centred practice.
