The role

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated & experienced Administrative / Retail Assistant to join the team at Rosalie Gourmet Market in Paddington, Queensland. This is a permanent position offering 30-38 hours per week over 4-5 days. This is a diverse role and tasks are variable from day to day.

Key responsibilities

  • Assisting the owner of the business with a wide range of administrative tasks including responding to customer and supplier emails, making & receiving phone calls
  • Providing catering quotes and advice to customers and supporting our kitchen team with administration of our catering function
  • Ordering, restocking and merchandising displays to maintain a tidy and well-presented store
  • Supporting the store management team with various projects and initiatives
  • Assistance with marketing / newsletters / social media
  • Provision of retail assistance to customers

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an administrative or similar role. This position is not suited to students as this is an ongoing role which requires regular hours throughout the year. Full Australian working rights are essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using administrative software (e.g. Microsoft Office)
  • A genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service and contributing to the success of the business
  • Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred, particularly in food or specialty retail

Hours

  • 30-38 hours per week, over 4-5 days per week.
  • Additional hours will be required at busy times such as Mother's Day and the lead up to Christmas.
  • Full availability essential in December up to and including 24 December.
