Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm, welcoming, and professional first point of contact for patients and visitors
  • Manage a high volume of phone calls and patient inquiries
  • Schedule and manage appointments using Best Practice software
  • Process payments and handle billing enquiries
  • Register new patients and maintain accurate patient records
  • Assist with daily administrative tasks such as scanning, emailing, faxing, and filing
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure smooth practice operations
  • Maintain a clean, organised reception and waiting area
  • Adhoc tasks as required
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
  • Available to work shifts between 7:45am and 6:00pm, depending on the roster

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:

  • Experience as a Medical Receptionist (prefered)
  • Proficiency in Best Practice medical software (prefered)
  • Experience with Medicare billing an advantage
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Compassion, empathy, and professionalism when dealing with patients
  • A team player
