About the role

Doctors at Landsborough is seeking a Casual Medical Receptionist to join our family practice in Landsborough, Queensland. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality customer service to our patients and supporting the smooth running of our medical practice.

We are looking for someone who is confident to work as a part of a team and independently, with flexibility and adaptability.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and assisting patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Scheduling appointments and managing the practice's appointment book
  • Handling patient enquiries via phone, email, and in person
  • Preparing and organising patient files and medical records
  • Performing basic administrative tasks such as data entry and filing
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
  • Providing support to the clinical team as required

What we're looking for

  • Experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a warm and empathetic manner
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, and experience using or the ability to quickly learn medical practice management software
  • A genuine interest in the healthcare sector and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care
  • A positive, friendly, and professional attitude
