What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate and manage the NSLHD respiratory protection program (RPP) in adherence to the Clinical Excellence Commission (CEC) RPP manual. The team leader will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the RPP including its staff and budget. This position will ensure the health and wellbeing of staff by reducing their risk of infectious disease while preventing the risk of transmission to patients.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) AND Relevant management tertiary qualification OR equivalent work experience, OR a combination of study and work experience; and demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Demonstrated experience performing mask-fit testing, vaccination and assessments in a healthcare environment with advanced knowledge in the application of work health safety, and infection prevention and control.
- Highly competent leadership and interpersonal communication skills and expertise in relevant computer applications and systems utilising varied and appropriate software programs (e.g. StaffLink, VaxLink, MS application, MS word processing, HCM data management systems, and spreadsheets.)
