Location – Kingsgrove

Afternoon shift 2:00pm - 10:00pm, plus every second weekend (12 hour shift) 10am - 10pm or 2pm - 2am.

About the role

Reporting to the Monitoring Team Manager, you will act as the first point of contact during emergency situations and ensure that incidents are responded to in a timely and effective manner.

  • Action all incoming alarms following customer-specific instructions, including dispatching patrols as required. (training provided)
  • Answer all incoming telephone calls promptly and courteously
  • Coordinate with emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) when necessary and provide accurate and relevant information
  • Document and report all incidents, alarms, and system faults accurately and in a timely manner
  • Stay up to date with all Standard Operating Procedures and emergency response protocols
  • Escalate incidents and system issues in accordance with established escalation protocols
  • Provide accurate and clear briefings during handovers to incoming operators at the end of each shift
  • Manage and prioritise multiple, simultaneous alarms or incidents with focus and efficiency
  • Ensure all data handling and communications comply with applicable data protection policies

About you

  • Experience in a Security & Control Room or Call Centre environment
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Tech-savvy, with strong computer literacy and typing skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A current NSW Security 1E License (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Availability for rostered shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Experience with Patriot Monitoring software (highly regarded but not essential as training provided)
