ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our client on a contract assignment. This position will be based in our client's engineering office in Brisbane.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and review design calculations, reports, models, documentation, and other engineering deliverables
  • Review and approve critical design documents, calculations, specifications, supplier data, drawings, material selections, and change orders
  • Plan, develop, and lead day-to-day electrical engineering activities for various projects
  • Provide technical input to support procurement requirements and vendor selection.
  • Prepare work plans aligned with project scope, schedule, and budget, and manage delivery against these targets
  • Liaise with client representatives (when required) to secure approvals on electrical engineering deliverables
  • Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of assigned personnel, including estimating staffing requirements, scheduling, and allocating tasks

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and RPEQ
  • Experience in Mining, Oil and Das, heavy industry or similar
  • Proven experience across design, construction, commissioning, or plant operations within large-scale industrial facilities, utilities, or process plants
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian Standards applicable to Electrical Engineering
  • Demonstrated capability in developing scopes of work and managing project packages
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to site
