About the role

Are you an experienced Chef with a passion for creating innovative culinary masterpieces? We're seeking a talented Chef to join our team at Elysian Restaurant & Bar in the picturesque town of Leura, NSW. This full-time role will allow you to showcase your skills and passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and cook high-quality, creative dishes from our seasonal menu
  • Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and refine existing dishes
  • Mentor and guide junior members of the kitchen team
  • Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen environment
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef in a high-quality restaurant
  • Formal culinary training or qualification (e.g. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery)
  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing a variety of cuisines and ability to work with seasonal, locally-sourced produce
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with an eye for detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for creating memorable dining experiences for our customers
