Due to the ongoing growth of our business we are seeking to appoint
TWO
Associate Directors into our Institutional team based in Sydney.
The Associate Director, Institutional Domestic will play a key origination, execution and analytical role in debt and potentially equity transactions. This will include Critical Mineral transactions, including potential National Interest Account (NIA) transactions.
The Institutional business works with government and customers who require complex structured financing arrangements including under key mandates for Critical Minerals, Defence, Indo-Pacific Infrastructure, Southeast Asia and our core export credit agency function.
YOUR NEW ROLE
Location: Sydney or Perth
Role Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Support senior team members with originating, structuring, negotiating and executing complex debt and equity transactions.
- Assist with the identification and assessment of the appropriateness of specific opportunities.
- Undertake and manage the necessary due diligence, risk mitigation and transaction structuring including engaging with internal and external legal counsel to ensure that appropriate legal documentation is successfully concluded and that financial close is achieved.
- Oversee and ensure that transactions are compliant with credit policy procedures as well as compliance with the Efic Act and OECD obligations.
- Support customer relationships and relationships with banks and other partners.
- Manage key internal relationships and communications including the Executive, Credit, Legal and Portfolio Management.
- Think strategically about risk and work within EFA's risk management framework ensuring compliance with governance frmeworks, policies and procedures as well as our mandates and the Efic Act.
ABOUT YOU
- Strong debt and/or investing experience across a wide range of market segments in the Institutional space. Strong preference for candidates with project and structured equity financing experience in private and government sectors in the mining and natural resources sectors.
- A minimum of seven years' institutional experience with other financial institutions with good exposure to and experience in complex transaction structuring, investment / credit analysis and familiarity with complex financing arrangements.
- Excellent financial modelling, credit, valuation and analysis skills.
- A mix of Infrastructure, natural resources and mining project finance experience is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills are a must.
- Candidates with international / cross border transactional experience and exposure will be looked upon favourably.
- Degree qualified in business, finance or other relevant discipline and other tertiary qualifications are supported and looked upon favourably.
