About the role

We are looking for an experienced dynamic new Office Manager for our busy specialist Gastroenterology practice.

The position is full-time Monday to Friday working in an open administrative office with designated front desk and PC workstation.

You are responsible to the Practice Manager with whom you'll have weekly meetings.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage all administrative and operational functions of the medical practice, including scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, and maintaining accurate medical records
  2. Perform financial processes including doctor's account billing for consultations and procedures
  3. Supervise and coordinate the work of the administrative staff
  4. Implement and maintain efficient office equipment procedures and systems
  5. Liaise with healthcare providers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure the practice operates efficiently

What we're looking for

  1. Significant experience (5+ years) in a medical office management or similar administrative role within the healthcare industry
  2. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
  4. Proficient in the use of medical practice management software and various office productivity tools
  5. Knowledge of Medicare and Private Health Fund billing requirements through ECLIPSE
  6. Proven track record of implementing efficient office systems and processes and ability to lead and mentor a team of administrative staff
