The Role:
As our Student Wellbeing Manager for our Melbourne Scape operations, you'll:
- Act as Field Educator for all social work placement students, administering the requirements of placement supervision and validation.
- Lead our student wellbeing and pastoral care programs, ensuring best-in-class support for all residents.
- Drive Next Generation initiatives, support Under 18 students, and foster community engagement through events and workshops.
- Champion gender-based violence prevention and response, ensuring compliance with the National Higher Education Code.
- Co-design student agency programs, including peer support and personal wellbeing plans.
- Build partnerships with universities, health providers, and local services to enhance student support pathways.
- Work closely with a team of student experience professionals, shaping a culture of care, inclusivity, and innovation.
What We're Looking For:
- Formal qualification in Social Work (key requirement) and membership (or eligibility) with the Australian Association of Social Work (key requirement).
- 8+ years' experience in mental health, pastoral care, or related student support roles.
- Proven leadership experience, including managing teams and social work student placements.
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, gender-based violence, and culturally competent frameworks.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and conflict resolution skills.
- Passion for enhancing student life, wellbeing, and community engagement.
