Lifeline North Coast is committed to supporting the vision of an Australia free from suicide.
We are committed to reducing rates of suicide, emotional distress and supporting those in crisis across our region, through community engagement, education, and training. Building connection and resilience is at the heart of all we do.

Our office is based in Coffs Harbour, however we deliver programs between Nambucca Heads and Yamba that include National Crisis Support Line, Financial & Gambling Aware Counselling and Corporate & Commercial Training.

Position Overview

Reporting to the & Training Manager you are responsible for administrative tasks and rostering of volunteers for the Crisis Support Telephone Line, as well as administrative support to the training arm of the center. Experience in RTO compliance is a bonus

You are also responsible for basic IT Helpdesk Support for the Crisis Supporters as well.

You will be responsible for managing your own workload, operating autonomously, exercising initiative and professional judgment as part of your daily work.

You are a people person with a passion for excellent training outcomes for Lifeline North Coast students. You demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills communicating effectively and professionally with your team, students, crisis centre staff, management, and key community stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure rosters are distributed on time providing volunteers with enough notice to plan and attend their shifts

  • Ensure all new students are enrolled correctly to participate in the Crisis Support Training

  • Ensure all staff accreditation requirements are actioned and followed up to maintain their accreditation status

  • Assist with review and evaluation of student participation and outcomes for reporting and auditing purposes

  • Collate the information and publish the weekly Volunteer Update to keep them informed of relevant information

  • Provide training administrative support for external training programs as needed including, venue bookings, catering requirements and training material collation.

  • Maintain effective/clear and concise student database notes on the relevant databases

  • Comply with relevant legislation, privacy/confidentiality/codes of practice/conduct and reporting requirements

  • Maintain a focus on best practice and continuous improvement to enhance LLNC reputation and training services provided to students and clients

Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

You will be persistent, resilient, assertive, approachable and act with a positive purpose to achieve good student and team outcomes.

You will also demonstrate the following.

  • Certificate III or similar in a relevant discipline (Business Admin or Training) or equivalent experience

  • Experience working with RTO Compliance processes

  • Advanced computer literacy/online technology experience (including ability to work with various databases)

  • Progressive, creative, and forward-thinking

  • Ability to prioritize your own workload and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Empathetic and compassionate, and able to quickly build rapport with people at all levels

  • Relevant interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students' volunteers, staff, trainers, managers, and key community stakeholders

  • Understanding/experience of the training programs being delivered

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Excellent report, written and verbal communication skills
